re.act.feminism – performance art of the 1960s and 70s today

Exposição que documenta trabalhos performáticos de 24 artistas espalhados por duas gerações. As obras selecionadas refletem a intenção curatorial de estender a perspectiva além do cânone do familiar e conhecido, no sentido de demonstrar a diversidade e complexidade das estratégias performáticas (feministas). Isto inclui movimentos de performance no Leste e Sudoeste Europeu, bem como na Alemanha Oriental (desde 1980), onde frequentemente se desenvolveram paralelos com a arte independente do “Ocidente”.
“The exhibition documents performative works from 24 artists spanning across two generations. The selected works reflect the curators’ intention to extend the perspective beyond the canon of the known and familiar in order to demonstrate the diversity and complexity of (feminist) performative strategies. This includes performance movements in Eastern and South Eastern Europe as well as the former GDR (since the beginning of the 1980s), which often developed parallel to and independent of “Western artâ€.”
