2 em 1 nas Cavalariças do Parque Lage

Nesta quinta feira, dia 30/07,  inaugura a exposição 2 em 1  nas Cavalariças (RJ).

O projeto traz obras realizadas por 5 duplas de artistas e 1 dupla de críticos-curadores. A exposição questiona diversos aspectos de uma mostra tradicional, como a questão da autoria, da curadoria e de “paternidade” de uma idéia ou obra. Na inauguração a DJ Coisa Fina e Barrão animarão a festa, junto com a performance-gastronomia de Rebecca Lockwood.

Convocatoria Vida 12.0

VIDA 12.0 premia obras artísticas desarrolladas con tecnologías de vida artificial y sus disciplinas asociadas: la robótica, la inteligencia artificial, etc. Se buscan obras de arte que tengan comportamientos emergentes, que evolucionen con el tiempo, que reaccionen a su entorno y que parezcan tener vida propia. VIDA 12.0 también busca proyectos que relacionen lo tecnológico con lo biológico, y que investiguen las características sintéticas de la vida contemporánea.

En años anteriores se han premiado proyectos artísticos realizados con robots, avatares electrónicos, algoritmos caóticos, knowbots, autómatas celulares, virus informáticos, ecologías virtuales que evolucionan con la interacción del participante, arquitecturas interactivas, obras de realidad aumentada y trabajos que profundizan en aspectos sociales de la vida artificial.

Se destinará un total de 40.000 euros para los tres proyectos seleccionados por el jurado: Primer Premio: 18.000 euros (*), Segundo Premio: 14.000 euros (*), Tercer Premio: 8.000 euros (*). Las piezas premiadas tendrán la posibilidad de ser exhibidas en la Galería Virtual de Fundación Telefónica así como en las exposiciones que organice o en las que participe, relacionadas con el arte y las nuevas tecnologías.
Las obras de arte que se presenten a VIDA no deben tener más de dos años de antigüedad. Esta condición hace posible que el Concurso se mantenga al corriente de los cambios tecnológicos que ocurren en la disciplina de la vida artificial.

Open, independent and fully creative radio has been absent from Portugal since the pirate radio explosion in the 80s. Radio Futura does not propose itself to be a recollection exercise but to show what radio has to offer, how can be exploited, explored and used for artistic ends and as a magnificent tool to get people together. For all of this, Radio Futura, a joint initiave of Future Places Festival and Rádio Zero, will be broadcasting  under the moto digital media and local cultures a mix pre-recorded programs, live event coverage and programs.

The Future of Radio is Local. Come and participate! Let’s show how Radio can be GOOD!

Were looking for pre-recorded programs of 30 min. too one hour or, if you’re brave enough, live broadcast through streaming or from our temporary studios in the city o O’Porto.

You can submit any kind of program, as long as it is connected to radio digital culture and/or local cultures in any way.

Rádio Zero is a university radio in Lisbon, Portugal, streaming 24/7 on the web and promoting free access to broadcasting. Annual Call for Submissions – Regular Programming

Due: Post marked no later than August 1, 2009

Regular Programming is created through submissions that seek the support of aceartinc’s facilities and services for public presentation. aceartinc is dedicated to cultural diversity in its programming and to this end encourages applications from contemporary artists and curators identifying as members of GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered), Aboriginal (status, non-status, Inuit and Metis) and all other culturally diverse communities. aceartinc encourages proposals from individuals, groups and collectives in all visual arts media.

Regular Programming submissions are solicited through a general annual national call with a deadline of August 1st.

The program is based on aceartinc ‘s available material or personnel resources. aceartinc will pay CARCC fees to artists exhibiting through Regular Programming. Travel and accommodation, one-way shipping and per-diems will be provided where funding permits. aceartinc produces invitations and media release documents, maintains a Critical Distance writing program for response to projects, and documents all projects digitally and in other media as appropriate.

CENTRO ABIERTO 09 – Intervenciones de sitio especifico en el centro histórico de Lima

Alta Tecnología Andina (ATA), Fundación Telefónica y el Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI) convocan a la presentación de proyectos de sitio específico a ser realizados en distintas locaciones del Centro histórico de Lima.

Estos proyectos serán presentados en el marco de la Gran Semana de Lima, un evento organizado por la Municipalidad Metropolitana de Lima que todos los años reúne a un público diverso en torno a eventos gratuitos de música, arte, gastronomía y cultura.

Essa galera era fashion muito antes do fashion ser fashion.  E você se achava moderno usando óculos de aro grande em 2009…
